What About This Guy?

Nope

This ancient puff of powder is Jethro Tull. He was born sometime after Newton and long before Einstein, which makes him really old, doesn't it? Mister Tull was an agricultural pioneer during the industrial revolution. He was an advocate of tilling the soil to increase the ability of roots to reach precious nutrients, and he was one of the first people to figure out that horses were better for working the fields than oxen.

What a smart guy!

Jethro invented a doohickey he called "the seed drill" that helped farmers increase their germination rate and yields eightfold! This tool was so amazing it could plant three rows at a time. He later invented a horse-drawn hoe for clearing weeds. His various inventions resulted in massive harvests the likes of which had never before been seen. A lot of otherwise hungry people got to eat because of the labors of this esteemed scientist. Mister Tull was such an important dude that the BBC recently made a whole documentary about him.

Jethro Tull may have been a genius, but he is not Amos Wright.

On a side note, the wild looking gentleman shown here with flute has frequently been called Jethro Tull, but his name is Ian Anderson, and as far as we know he didn't invent any seed drills, (though he may have invented an aqualung).

Our friend Ian doesn't look anything like Jethro Tull does he? Why do you suppose people so often get Mister Anderson confused with Mister Tull?

This will have to remain an enigma for the ages.

(Just in case you are wondering, Ian Anderson is not Amos Wright.)
