The Rumors

There are many unsubstantiated legends concerning Amos Wright, like the story of the reculsive software genius who lives high in the Himilayas and only takes visitors on Wednesday mornings. (We think this yarn is nothing more than somebody's idea of stunvelly humpf, so we don't give it much credence.)

Another legend has Amos Wright tucked away in a secret government bunker near the infamous Area 51. Nobody knows for sure what he does there, although it has been suggested that he is responsible for debugging and upgrading faulty alien navigation systems. (True believers point out that there has not been a single UFO crash due to navigational error since Amos Wright took the job.)

Then there is the version that has our hero living in a hidden undersea cave. His internet connection is a fiber-optic cable installed by mermaids. He writes code by the light of an electric eel lamp. He gets all of his best ideas from manatees and from a mysterious scuba diver named Kyle S. Parker. (This one is probably not true either but it is certainly amusing.)
